It's that time again, folks!.
Freedom Launch is 3 days: Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Aug 30, 31 and Sept 1. We are planning a night launch on Saturday similar to the one we did for NSL. Monday is a Tripoli Research day only. The entire event is under Tripoli rules.

RocketryZone is now accepting pre-orders for the Freedom Launch and will give 10% off on all Aerotech reloads and 5% off all Animal Works and Cesaroni reloads (pre-orders only). Send Dennis an email at rocketryzone@earthlink.net to pre-order motors up to August 5.

Just as we did with NSL, the goal is to sign-up enough volunteers such that everyone has a chance to fly and not get stuck on range duty and left to dry. Additionally all people working two slots of range duty will receive a Freedom Launch 2008 "Crew" T shirt. The shirts will be a single run item and only available to range crew volunteers. We will be posting a sign-up roster shortly.

Stay tuned as more details are posted!

I spoke to Robert and due to a family medical emergency he will not be at the July Launch. Due to this we will not have Hybrid Support.

There is a possibility we may be have Hybrid Support on Sunday, still to be determined.

I've posted some photos and videos to the Gallery. Frank Terhaar-Yonkers has a contact sheet (12MB pdf) at http://www.employees.org/~mty/NSL_2008_Orangeburg.pdf. RalphRoberts has also put up NSL pictures at http://www.rocketrycarolina.org/photos.html

Enjoy!

Well, I think we can all agree that NSL 2008 was a great launch! Between the great weather, vendors, crowd turn-out and efforts of all the volunteers, things couldn't have been much finer. A special thanks goes out to the organizers and the volunteers. All of you are the ones that really made it happen! And to all the flyers, your families and on-lookers - I hope you had a wonderful time and come on back! Next up: Freedom Launch over the Labor Day weekend.
Hope to see you there!
Tom
